	<li>Shaking or trembling</li>
	<li>Confusion and difficulty concentrating</li>
	<li>Irritability or mood swings</li>
	<li>Rapid heartbeat or palpitations</li>

	<li>Nausea </li>
	<li>Chills </li>

Note: These symptoms vary in severity and occur at different times during the fast. For instance, the onset of symptoms may start within a few hours of the last meal for some people while others experience it much later in the day.

However, if symptoms are severe or if the individual has a history of severe hypoglycemia, medical attention is necessary.

For individuals who are at risk for hypoglycemia while fasting, several strategies can help prevent symptoms from occurring. These include<a href="#accordion">[3]</a>:

	<li>Eat a balanced diet that includes complex carbohydrates, protein, and healthy fats. This helps regulate blood sugar levels and prevent hypoglycemia.</li>
	<li>Balance the carbs with protein and vegetables. The body breaks carbohydrates into glucose that leads to a spike in blood sugar and a healthy meal including complex carbs, protein, and healthy fat slows down the body&rsquo;s digestion. Low-glycemic index foods, such as beans and chickpeas, are a good option. Also, it&rsquo;s recommended to reduce the portion of starchy vegetables.</li>
	<li>Drink plenty of water. It prevents dehydration and gets rid of excess glucose.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Monitor blood sugar levels regularly. This way individuals can identify when their levels are getting low and act accordingly.</li>
</ul>

Note: If you have a medical condition that puts you at risk for hypoglycemia or if you are experiencing symptoms of hypoglycemia while fasting, it&#39;s important to talk to your healthcare provider. Your provider can help you manage your symptoms and prevent complications.
